Hello everyone, and welcome to my brand new site BusyPlayingSoftball.com!
My name is Dominique and i’ve been involved with softball for many years and both a player and as a coach. As you probably guessed, the goal of this website is softball talk. Although we do provide some guidance for slowpitch players, my primary specialty is fastpitch.
What I like about softball is the team atmosphere. I am still friends with many players I played with when I was younger, and really enjoy coaching the women I do now. In my opinion, there is nothing better than sports to keep kids engaged, happy, and teach valuable life skills.
What I plan to write about
So at this point you are probably a bit bored of my story and want to know what this site is all about?
Right now I have two main focuses:
- Tips to improve play – As a coach I can’t help it. I love to teach. I feel like i’ve learned a lot from the coaching side of things and can bring some of these experiences to words. If I can impact a single softball player through this blog – I will be a happy woman!
- Equipment reviews – I look forward to each and every spring/summer season where I can hear the ting of the bat, and the sound of a ball landing in a glove. As a former player I know how hard it is to find the right gear, so am hopeful I can provide you with reviews and suggestions in your equipment choices.
